Tuition fees for our research degrees in the 2019/20 academic year are listed in the table below.

Students on full-time and part-time programmes of study of more than one year should be aware that annual tuition fees are subject to revision and are typically increased by approximately 5% per annum. This annual increase should be taken into account when you are applying for a programme. The Home/EU fee for the PhD is the fee level set by Research Councils UK (RCUK).

The University offers a 10% discount in postgraduate tuition fees for all alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh (conditions apply).
