Lindsay Jack presented at the Association of Law Teachers’ (ALT) Conference in Manchester.

This year’s ALT Conference was held on 11th and 12th of April at Manchester University, and alongside Dr Alison Struthers of Warwick University, Lindsay presented a talk titled "Putting the 'Fun' in Fundamental Legal Principles". Alison is currently running a pilot programme ‘School Tasking’ based on the idea of the tv programme Taskmaster, and uses the format of the game to introduce pupils to law and basic legal principles. This project is aimed at primary schools in widening participation target areas, and Lindsay will lead the Scottish roll-out in the new calendar year. Lindsay’s talk added context to legal widening participation work with primary schools, and shared some of our successes in this area, showcasing her recent Lego workshops as an example.
