Mrs Lindsay Jack
The Director of Student Experience (DSE) is tasked with creating a vibrant and distinctive culture for entry to and learning at Edinburgh Law School whilst engaging with university developments and initiatives surrounding the student experience. DSE works with students and staff across a whole range of projects, including the Law Peer Assisted Learning Scheme (LawPALS) and all of our Widening Participation work.
Lindsay has a background in access to, transition into, and progression through university, and has experience working in both undergraduate admissions and Lothians Equal Access Programme for Schools (LEAPS).
As Education Manager at The Society of Writers to Her Majesty’s Signet (The WS Society) Lindsay's interest in legal education grew. That post also gave her insight into legal practice, the various routes into the profession and the relationship between the two.
Lindsay’s undergraduate degree is law ((Edinburgh) Napier University) and she also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching from The University of Edinburgh. Lindsay is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and is currently working towards Senior Fellowship (2019).
Since joining Edinburgh Law School in May 2007, Lindsay has developed programmes of study support for all on-course LLB students and continues to work with colleagues (students and staff) in the School and university - as well as members of the profession - to ensure the experience of all Edinburgh LLB students is as good as it can be.
Lindsay is a Personal Tutor and is also currently the Director of Equality and Diversity (2018 – 2021).
