Dr Richard Jones was invited recently to participate in a discussion on the latest developments in cyber security and to help identify future issues.
Dr Richard Jones was invited recently to participate in a discussion on the latest developments in cyber security and to help identify future issues. The 'Think Tank' discussion, organised by Dell and held in Paris, featured a number of leading cyber security experts from industry as well as from academia, along with representatives from the media.
Dr Jones undertakes research on areas including cybercrime, cyber security, and surveillance, and is currently involved in a European-funded collaborative project researching societal resilience, security and surveillance in Europe.
At the University of Edinburgh, Dr Jones teaches Masters course modules on 'Cybercrime' and on 'Surveillance and Security'.
