Dr Amy Lawton has been appointed Chair of the Tax Research Network

We’re delighted to share that Dr Amy Lawton has been appointed as the Chair of the Tax Research Network (TRN). The TRN brings together almost 600 tax scholars and educators from around the world.
In this prestigious senior leadership role Dr Lawton is responsible for the strategic leadership of the network and furthering its aims of supporting tax research and education within and outside the UK.
The TRN aims to connect teachers and researchers who are often spread throughout different organisational departments. Through events and activities, the TRN aims to bring tax professional together for co-operative, constructive research and discussions about tax teaching.
Dr Lawton said: “Dr Sara Closs-Davies, Terry Filer and I are excited to work together as the new leadership of the Tax Research Network. Together, we hope to lead the TRN to build upon its success as one of the organisation’s that supports tax research and tax education both in the UK and internationally.
“As Chair of the TRN, I would like to increase the international profile of the TRN to become ‘the place to go’ for tax research and tax teaching and ensure that it is serving all of its members.”
