Dickson Minto offer a three-week placement in either corporate law or commercial property during the Summer break in the Edinburgh office (with the possibility of a trip to the London office) to university students in the penultimate year, or later, of a Scots law degree..
Dickson Minto take these placements seriously so won't be leaving you to do basic administrative tasks. Instead, you will gain real legal experience, often leading to a full traineeship.
Applications for corporate and commercial property traineeships commencing in September 2028 will open in May 2026. Dickson Minto offer two different types of specialist traineeships – one in corporate and one in commercial property. Successful candidates must have obtained a Scots Law Diploma in Professional Legal Practice by the time the traineeship commences.
