Vacation scheme opportunities

Bristol office

Every year Burges Salmon run a winter vacation scheme (one week), spring vacation scheme (two weeks) and two summer vacation schemes (two weeks each), which are open to anyone who is eligible to apply for a training contract - regardless of your degree discipline or the length of time since you graduated.

Successful applicants will be invited back for a training contract interview after the scheme has taken place, and if you both decide that you're right for each other, you'll be offered a training contract.

Edinburgh office

Burges Salmon run two vacation schemes in their Edinburgh office; one in April and one in June.

The spring vacation scheme (two weeks) will take place in our their Edinburgh office between 13 – 24 April 2026.

The summer vacation scheme (two weeks) will take place in their Edinburgh office between 15 – 26 June 2026.

If you impress us during your vacation scheme, you could be invited back for a training contract interview – a significant step towards your legal career with us. If we decide we're right for each other, you'll be offered a training contract commencing in September 2028.
