AG's Innovation and Legal Technology (ILT) team was formed in 2015; it blends technology and legal expertise and is fully integrated into the business. AG develops, tests, invests in and embraces new technology on a continuous basis in order to enable the smart delivery of legal services and creation of clever solutions to clients, both faster and more cost-effectively.

"Helping AG to be the firm that clients keep coming back to by enabling new ways of working, pushing boundaries through the use of technology and creating innovative solutions." AG's purpose, Innovation and Legal Technology Team.

Legal technology is a fast moving and exciting area and one that AG believe still has much scope for improvement and change. Developing the lawyers of tomorrow is one focus of theirs, but another is developing the legal technologist of tomorrow.

The Innovation and Legal Technology (ILT) Graduate Scheme is designed to teach you the skills required to innovate the delivery of legal work. You will learn skills in problem solving, technology, client engagement and consultancy.

AG's Innovation & Legal Tech Insight Day will take place in January 2024. If you'd like to register your interest, please email earlycareers@addleshawgoddard.com

Addleshaw Goddard run placement schemes across our UK offices with one-week Easter schemes taking place in Edinburgh and London, as well as two-week summer placement schemes in Aberdeen, Edinburgh/Glasgow, Leeds, London and Manchester.

Addleshaw Goddard recruit solely from their placement schemes and all those who take part will be considered for a training contract with them. The scheme is a great opportunity for not only the firm to get to know you, but also for you to get to know the firm. You’ll be immersed in the firm, our culture and get involved in the work that they do.

Ultimately, they want candidates to get a true sense of the everyday life of a trainee at Addleshaw Goddard, so they’ll be involved in real trainee level work for clients. During their time with us candidates are assigned a trainee buddy and a more senior supervisor who’ll work with them to assign work, answer questions and provide support.

Addleshaw Goddard also organise information sessions with various teams across the firm, and candidates take part in group exercises and complete assessments.

Finally, there are planned social events too – these are a great opportunity for those on the scheme to get out of the office environment with some of their trainees and other colleagues.

Please note AG accept one application per intake year so please ensure you have decided where you would like to be based before applying.

Applications for the 2025 Placement Scheme/2027 Training Contract will open on Tuesday 1st October 2024 and close on Monday 6th January 2025.
