Agata Daszko joined the Law School as an Early Career Fellow in International Economic Law in August 2024. She teaches across International Economic Law, International Law and Global Law subjects, and is the course organiser for the 'Energy Transition and the International Economic Legal Order' course. Her research interests lie in investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS), interlinkages between international investment law and public international law, and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) screening. She has previously held visiting researcher positions at the University of Bologna (March-April 2023), Kyoto University (March-May 2024) and Singapore Management University (August 2025).

In addition to her current role, Agata also serves as the Academic Assistant at the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) and is the Assistant General Editor of the Commentaries on World Trade Law (Brill). She has previously worked as a consultant at the OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate, as an international arbitration clerk at Arnold & Porter and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the EFILA Blog.

Prior to joining the Law School, she was a Research Fellow at the University of Göttingen, where she is also completing her PhD thesis on the environmental impact assessments in international investment law and arbitration. Agata holds an LL.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University and a BA in Law with German and German Law (qualifying law degree) from the University of Nottingham.
