Understanding Inequalities project paper wins Presidents' Award of the European Society for Prevention Research

A paper published by researchers on the Understanding Inequalities project, has been announced as a joint winner of the Presidents' Award by the European Society for Prevention Research.

The paper co-authored by Dr Babak Jahanshani, Dr Kath Murray, and Professor Susan McVie, titled 'ACEs, Places and Inequality: Understanding the Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Poverty on Offending in Childhood', used data from the Growing up in Scotland study to investigate how both adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and material deprivation influence childhood offending.
