Success for LLM graduates

Tue 25 November 2014

Edinburgh Law School’s LLM graduates have been making their mark on the international job market.

Jacobien Schut, a graduate of the LLM programme in International Economic Law, has secured a prestigious traineeship with Dutch financial regulatory body, the Authority of the Financial Markets (AFM).

AFM has been responsible for supervising the operation of the financial markets in The Netherlands since 2002.

“Our students are also offered real-life exposure to corporate finance and global banking problems including seminars delivered by some of the world’s leading legal practitioners,” says Professor Emilios Avgouleas, who supervised Jacobien for her LLM dissertation.

Fellow LLM graduate Georga Ballard has also landed a role.

Georgia will be taking up a traineeship at Norton Rose Fulbright in Johannesberg in January 2015.
