A team of students from Edinburgh’s Innovation Technology Law LLM has progressed to the semifinal of the inaugural Herbert Smith Freehills International Computational Law e-Mooting Competition, organised by the Australian National University, Canberra.

Delia Appelt and Markus Lakenbrink received the highest overall score in both the first and the second round of the competition for their written submission and oral debate. They will progress to the semifinal of the competition, which will take place later this week.

The Computational Law e-Moot is unique, focusing on "the principles and significance of computational law" and being conducted entirely online. The winning team will be offered a week-long internship with Herbert Smith Freehills in one of its global offices.

Students and staff from the Innovation Programme will be wishing them continued success in the semifinal.
