Students take part in Eurozone masterclass

The event, titled Redrawing Monetary and Financial Stability Policy in the Eurozone, featured keynote addresses from Professor Martin Hellwig (Max Planck Institute) and Professor Charles Nolan (University of Glasgow).
Professor Hellwig discussed “Banks, Governments and the Central Bank in the European Crisis,” while Professor Nolan discussed “Design and Implementation of Macroprudential and Monetary Policies.”
The event was co-hosted by the Scottish Institute for Research Economics (SIRE) and supported by the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser of the Scottish Government.
The workshop was set up by Professor Emilios Avgouleas, Chair in International Banking Law and Finance and Programme Director of the innovative LLM in International Banking Law and Finance.
