Wed 28 October 2026
SCRIPTed is very happy to welcome a new group of LLM student Assistant Editors to its editorial team for the 2026-27 academic year, as well as Jakub Suchnicki (PhD researcher at Edinburgh Law School), who joins us as Managing Editor!
This year, we are delighted to welcome Inga Balchaites, Zara Branigan, Jeremy Dang, Jimmy Herndon, Sofia Magaña Ceron, Nidhi Naik, Matthew O'Donnell, Sasha Paugam, Pooja Payyadikkal, Ilke Ulusoy and Oskar Wernitz as our new Assistant Editors.
Our new team brings together students from a range of LLM programmes at Edinburgh Law School, including Intellectual Property Law, Innovation, Technology and the Law, Global Environment and Climate Change Law, Comparative Private Law, and Law. We are particularly pleased to have such a diverse group of students joining us, bringing different academic interests, perspectives and experiences to the journal.
Together with our Editor-in-Chief, Rania Djojosugito, and two Managing Editors, Aubrey Wasden and Jakub Suchnicki, the new team will be involved in all aspects of running SCRIPTed, from assessing new submissions and coordinating peer review to working with authors and preparing articles for publication. Being part of the editorial team is a great opportunity to discover how academic publishing works behind the scenes, develop new skills and contribute to the publication of research in law and technology.
To kick off the new academic year, the team recently came together for a training workshop led by Dr Amandine Léonard, member of SCRIPTed’s Supervisory Board. The workshop introduced our new Assistant Editors to the journal’s editorial procedures and the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which we use to manage submissions and peer review. It was also a great opportunity for everyone to meet, ask questions and start getting to know the people they will be working with over the coming months.
A very warm welcome to everyone – here’s to a great year ahead for SCRIPTed!
