Professor Verónica Ruiz Abou-Nigm appointed to UK government committee

Professor Verónica Ruiz Abou-Nigm has been appointed to the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Private International Law.
She was nominated by the Scottish Government due to her expertise in cross-border civil and commercial disputes.
The Committee provides expert advice to the UK government on a variety of issues in the area of private international law. In recent years, this has included advising on UK implementation of the 2019 Hague Judgments Convention.
Membership of the Committee includes serving or retired members of the judiciary, legal academics, barristers, advocates and solicitors from across England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
