Professor Stephen Tierney and team win grant for project on constituent power
Tue 11 January 2022
Professor Stephen Tierney is part of a three person team which has won a grant from the Australian Research Council worth more than $400,000 (Aus). He will work with colleagues from the University of Queensland and Deakin University.
The project, titled ‘Constituent power in federal constitutions’, seeks to arrive at a pluralised theory of constituent power. It proposes a theoretically-informed study of the constitutional foundations of twenty federal systems, building links with scholars from each of these countries, leading to a series of workshops and publications.
