Professor Schafer speaks at Artificial Intelligence in Legal Services Summit

On 4th June 2019, Professor Burkhard Schafer, Professor of Computational Legal Theory at the Edinburgh Law School, presented at the Artificial Intelligence in Legal Services Summit in London.
Hosted by City & Financial Global and the Law Society of England and Wales, the summit was chaired by Sophia Adams Bhatti, Director of Legal and Regulatory Policy of the Law Society of England. The event marked the presentation of the Society’s report on AI in the justice system to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
As part of the presentation, Professor Burkhard Schafer, who also contributed as one of the expert witnesses that informed the report, discussed with fellow panellists the current state of play and the future outlook of AI models in law.
