On Friday 9 April 2021, Professor Nehal Bhuta of Edinburgh Law School will discuss 'Freedom of Religion' during an exchange with Cécile Laborde of Oxford University, as part of the Loeb Institute Speaker Series hosted by George Washington University.

What is the relationship between normative thinking and historical thinking about Freedom of Religion?

Two distinguished scholars will discuss the question in an exchange of ideas.

Cécile Laborde holds the Nuffield Chair of Political Theory and is a Fellow of the British Academy.

Nehal Bhuta holds the Chair of Public International Law at University of Edinburgh and is Co-Director of the Edinburgh Centre for International and Global Law.
