We are pleased to share the news that Martin Hogg, Dean of the University of Edinburgh Law School, has been elected to lead the Law Schools Global League (LSGL) presidency for the upcoming term alongside Simon Chesterman, Dean of the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law.

Professors Martin Hogg and Simon Chesterman were chosen by LSGL General Assembly to replace current co-presidents Amnon Lehavi (Dean of Radzyner Law School – IDC Herzliya) and Gonçalo Matias (Dean of Católica Global School of Law, Lisbon), who have come to the end of their two-year mandate.

The announcement was made on Tuesday 9 February during the Deans Meeting of the LSGL, hosted virtually by Tilburg University.

LSGL was instituted in 2012 by a selected number of globally leading law schools. LSGL brings together law schools that share a commitment to the globalisation of law and to integrating global law in their teaching and research.

The primary aim of LSGL is to globally promote and foster scholastic research on law and legal education as well as encouraging collaboration among its members in the debate on issues impacting global law or legal practice.
