Prof Emilios Avgouleas gives prestigious Durham Castle Lecture

On 4th December Prof Emilios Avgouleas gave a lecture titled ‘How Can One Control the Forces of Doom Looming Over the Global Economy?’ as part of the prestigious Durham Castle Lecture Series. The lecture series started in 2012 and exhibits high profile speakers who have made an outstanding contribution to their fields to contribute to academic and public discussion on issues of global significance. Prof Avgouleas joins a speaker line up that has included the Chief Economist of the World Bank, Martin Wolff, Associate Editor and Chief Economics Commentator at the Financial Times, the current and former Archbishops of Canterbury, Lord Anthony Giddens, Graig Calhun, current Director/Principal of the LSE, and leading academics from Cambridge, Yale, and the LSE.
