Law School to host transport law conference

The Law School and the Edinburgh Centre for Commercial Law are to host a two-day interdisciplinary conference on transport law and logistics.

Participants from logistics and law, academia and practice will present and discuss current issues in freight forwarding including approaches in different jurisdictions.

Swedish lawyer Professor Emeritus Jan Ramberg is to deliver the keynote address, and he will discuss whether the law of transport and freight forwarding is lagging behind in the modern development of commercial law.

Other speakers lined up include practitioners, academics and stakeholders from the UK, Europe and as far afield as the United Arab Emirates and the US.
