Latest issue of the Edinburgh Student Law Review now available
Wed 15 January 2025

The Edinburgh Student Law Review published its latest issue in November, featuring 13 articles from different fields of law, reflecting the diversity in legal scholarship today.
First published in 2009, The Edinburgh Student Law Review was the first student-produced law review in Scotland and only the third in the UK. The journal shares peer-reviewed articles, case analyses, and book reviews.
The review is run completely by students, providing the opportunity for those involved to gain invaluable skills for their future careers, such as researching, editing, and publishing.
The current Editors-in-Chief of the Edinburgh Student Law Review, Natalie Fowler, Sukru Kagan Surucu, and Vaishnavi Srikanth, said: “Re-establishing the ESLR this year has been a highly rewarding experience for each of us. It has been a pleasure to see the journal return to the University of Edinburgh, and equally fulfilling to collaborate with a diverse group of dedicated individuals, all committed to advancing legal academia—whether through submitting their own research or contributing as part of our office holder team and editorial board. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who has contributed to the 2024 edition of the Edinburgh Student Law Review.”
“As part of our efforts to re-establish the ESLR, we are working to align the journal’s activities with the academic year. We plan to commence the process of electing new editors-in-chief in January 2025, to help assist with this realignment. We look forward to sharing more details at our welcome event in January. For those interested in getting involved with the ESLR, please keep an eye on our Social Media channels where we will be sharing more information about the 2025 Welcome Event in due course.”
