IT Leaders Forum features presentation from Professor Burkhard Schafer

Edinburgh Law School Academic will present "Artificial Intelligence and the future of legal practice" on Tuesday 1 March
Professor Burkhard Schafer, Director of the SCRIPT Centre for IT and IP Law, will be addressing the IT Leaders Forum. The Forum brings together chief information officers and IT directors from the leading UK and international law firms. It will be held between 29 February and 2 March at Gleneagles Hotel.
The current revolution in machine learning, soft AI and automated decision making will profoundly change the shape of legal practice over the next decade. Connecting quality research with the needs of the legal profession is a core objective for the SCRIPT Centre and Professor Schafer's presentation will contribute to interdisciplinary work to maximise the social benefits and minimise potential harm of these new technologies.
