The Inaugural Edinburgh Glasgow International Law Workshop

Wed 10 April 2019

Edinburgh Glasgow workshop

With over 40 paper presentations by scholars from all over the UK, Europe, and beyond, the Inaugural Edinburgh Glasgow International Law Workshop also hosted three lively key note lectures by Professor Gerry Simpson (LSE), Professor Anne Peters (Max Planck Institute for International and Comparative Public Law) and Professor Joseph Weiler (NYU Law School).

The Workshop was multidisciplinary and eclectic in its perspectives on international law, and topics ranged from Feminist Utopias in International Law to the ICJ's jurisprudence on the legal personality of international organizations.

A full day (10 April) was devoted to paper presentations by PhD researchers, who received detailed feedback from experts in their field.

The Edinburgh Centre for International and Global Law looks forward to next year's Workshop, hosted by the University of Glasgow's Centre for International Law and Security.
