On Monday 7 October, the Edinburgh Law School's Free Legal Advice Centre (FLAC) took part in a city-wide charity event. The Edinburgh Legal Walk is part of a national series of similar events, which raise money for organisations providing free legal advice.

At last night's sponsored walk in Edinburgh, Lord Tyre led more than 100 people through Edinburgh, starting from the Law School in Old College at 17:00. The event raised over £5,000 for the Access to Justice Foundation.

Rebecca Samaras, director of pro bono at Edinburgh Law School, said that it was "so fantastic to see so many people turn up and walk on such a beautiful Edinburgh evening, supporting such a worthy cause.

"It’s encouraging to see so many members of the legal profession, charities, organisations and students come out to support access to justice. We hope we can build on last night's success in the years to come."

All of the money raised from the walk will help to fund legal advice projects across Scotland.
