ELS students win Elaine Tyre Client Consultation Competition

Rebecca Millar and Matthew McPherson were named the winners of the Elaine Tyre Client Consultation Competition, held on Friday 11th February. The competition is the final of the International Client Consultation Competition and is hosted by Edinburgh Law School.
Rebecca and Matthew competed against four other teams from other Scottish providers of the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice - Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, and Strathclyde Universities.
Rebecca Samaras, Director of Pro Bono and Clinical Legal Education, said: "After a full day in which all students impressed the judges with their interviewing skills, the team of Rebecca Millar and Matthew McPherson from Edinburgh Law School were announced the winners and will go on to represent Scotland at the International Finals in April.
“Congratulations to them and to all students who participated.”
She added: “A special thanks to all judges for giving up their day and to everyone involved in making the event a thoroughly enjoyable experience and learning opportunity for all our students.”
