The annual Edinburgh Legal Walk, which took place on 3 October 2024, was a great success with 45 walkers helping to raise over £560 so far.

Participants had the chance to hear welcome speeches by Lord Tyre, Neil Mackenzie KC, Susan Murray and Simon Catto and attend a reception in the Reading Room of the Faculty Library.

The walks gather together the legal community and supporters of Access to Justice to raise money for the legal advice sector in Scotland while creating awareness of the essential work done by Access to Justice.

The event was coordinated by Access to Justice with help from Evan McVeigh, Clinical Legal Education and Pro Bono Administrator at the Law School.

The Access to Justice Foundation has been organising Legal Walks throughout the UK for over a decade. This year’s national sponsors of the walks are the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates, with the Edinburgh event sponsor being sponsored by Addleshaw Goddard.

If you would like to donate to the fundraiser you can find more information on the Just Giving page.
