Edinburgh Law School's Legal Historians take up prestigious visiting scholar positions

Two members of the Law School's Centre for Legal History will be visiting scholars at prestigious international institutions over the coming months.
From 7 to 30 April, Dr Paul du Plessis is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Legal History and Legal Theory at the University of Rome II, Tor Vergata. He is teaching an undergraduate course on 'Consensual Contracts', on which he is a noted expert, as well as giving doctoral seminars on 'Mixed Legal Systems' and 'The Use of Roman Law in Scottish courts'.
Dr Guido Rossi is a Robbins Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, from 7 April until 10 June. He is researching the origins of the abuse of power in the early ius commune .
