Tue 12 April 2016

Team competed in 23rd Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition and received an Honourable Mention

A team from Edinburgh Law School competed at the prestigious Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The oral arguments took place at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna, commencing on Friday 18 March.

One of the Edinburgh team received an Honourable Mention for Individual Oralists. Lucas Clover Alcolea was one of only three UK competitors to receive such a recommendation.

Overall team scores will be released later this year, but at this point we would like to congratulate Lucas and all of the team: Satya Talwar Mouland, Maria Botez, Lauren Otero, Yue Tian, Maria Christofidou, Jae Hyuk Lee and Steven de la Vieter. We'd also like to applaud their team coach, Snjólaug Árnadóttir, and assistant coach Fergus Whyte. The organiser for the course and founder of the Edinburgh team is Dr Simone Lamont-Black.
