Students at European Law Moot Court

In recent weeks, two teams of LLM students from the Edinburgh Law School participated in two of four regional finals of the European Law Moot Court (ELMC).

A team consisting of Franca Feisel, Anna Priebe, Lauri Torkkeli, and Marie Vandenneucker pleaded at the European University Institute in Fiesole on 22nd and 23rd February. Another team comprising Jacky Jahnel, Heli Ketola, and Helena Moulin-Smith participated in the regional final hosted by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on 1st and 2nd March.

Both teams gave strong performances but missed out on a place in the second day of the competition. Franca Feisel was awarded the Ole Due prize for best pleader in the first round.

The ELMC has offered students the chance to meet and compete since 1988, aiming to support and stimulate studies in EU Law.
