The Changing Nature of Crime in Scotland
4th November
9:30am - 1:15pm

The AQMeN Centre is hosting an expert panel event to use recent research to explore changes in crime trends and examine the profile of those involved in crime in Scotland.

The event will examine issues such as:

  • Crime in Scotland has fallen dramatically, but not everywhere and not for everyone. What are the underlying trends?
  • Trends in less series 'offences' differ remarkably from those of more serious 'crimes'. The profile of crime victims has shifted and there are signs of an ageing population of offenders.

The event will culminate in an exhibition of photographic and 3D representations of crime.
