Edinburgh Law School enters the world's top 50 for Law in Shanghai Ranking 2026

Edinburgh Law School has entered the top 50 law schools in the world in the 2026 Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, placing 47th globally.

The rankings assess universities against nine indicators grouped into five categories: World-Class Faculty, World-Class Output, High-Quality Research, Research Impact, and International Collaboration.

The result follows Edinburgh Law School's recent performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, where it placed 15th in the world, 5th in the UK and 1st in Scotland.
