Dr Kasey McCall-Smith delivers address to Polish human rights conference
Tue 1 December 2020

In celebration of 30 years of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Human Rights Department, the University hosted a day-long event on 26 November 2020 exploring 'Human rights research and education - experiences, good practices and challenges'.
In her capacity as the Chair of the Association of Human Rights Institutes (AHRI), Dr McCall-Smith was invited to deliver an address highlighting the role of the Association in progressing the realisation of the right to education, including the right to be educated about human rights. Her contribution tracked the activities of AHRI alongside the 4A approach to the right to education - availability, accessibility, acceptability and adaptability.
The address built on her recent work on the right to education as a member of the Academic Advisory Panel to the National Taskforce for Human Rights Leadership and the Advisory Group on UNCRC Incorporation.
