Dr Badanjak and Ms Wise present ceasefires research at Peace Research Institute, Oslo

On 20 September 2019, Dr Sanja Badanjak and Ms Laura Wise presented at the conference 'Talking while fighting? The causes and consequences of civil war ceasefires and security arrangements', hosted by the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and ETH Zurich.
The inaugural conference of the joint PRIO-ETH Zurich ‘Civil War Ceasefire’ project brought together over 60 researchers and practitioners, including mediators, monitors, and advisers engaged in peace processes in Myanmar, Ukraine, Sudan, South Sudan, and Philippines.
Dr Badanjak and Ms Wise presented ongoing research from the Political Settlement Research Programme’s PA-X Peace Agreement Database, including experimental machine learning peace agreement coding, and visualisations developed as part of PSRP’s Edinburgh PeaceTech project.
