Dr Adrianna Andreangeli's research contributes to minimum alcohol pricing debate

Court of Session receives input from Edinburgh Law School

Dr Adrianna Andreangeli was featured in the Herald last week, discussing proposed plans for the implementation of a minimum price for alcohol.

Dr Andreangeli commented that it is "now up to the Scottish Court of Session to be 'courageous' and to consider whether this is the time to move away from the 'safety' of fiscal measures to embrace the 'brave new world' of price controls as tools of 'genuine' public interest regulation".

There has already been debate regarding a potential breach of European Union law and the case has been referred back to the Edinburgh court.
