On 10th December, Director of Pro Bono and Clinical Legal Education, Rebecca Samaras, spoke at the 10th Civil Justice Council National Forum in London. The subject of this year's forum was 'Access to Justice for those without means'.
The National Forum provides an opportunity for the sector to come together for discussion, challenge and knowledge sharing, combining the expertise and experience of the voluntary agencies, the pro bono agencies, court users, the judiciary, business, the Government, the professions, court staff and HMCTS, the funding community, academic institutions, other charities, and more. The perspectives and experience included local, regional, national and international contributions.
This Forum focused on achieving successful outcomes, sustainability, and civil justice in its wider societal context. Sessions covered accessibility, advice, debt, health, funding and legal aid, litigation, mediation, pre-action, technology, vulnerability and more.
