Campaign launches fresh ambition for Edinburgh Law School

Mon 22 December 2014

A campaign designed to strengthen further Edinburgh Law School's world-leading reputation has officially launched, marking the beginning of an exciting year ahead for the School.

At the heart of the Old College Law Campaign lies an exciting project to refurbish the Law School’s iconic Old College home into a world-class facility fit for the School’s excellent teaching and research.

The refurbishment will create an outstanding experience for Edinburgh’s law students, while honouring the heritage and history of the well-loved building.

The Old College Law Campaign is also seeking support for the following projects:

  • A new law library at Old College.
  • An enhanced scholarship and bursary programmes to attract the next generation of talented lawyers, judges and scholars.
  • An extension of student-led pro-bono work, providing free access to justice for the local community.

People can also get involved with the campaign by joining the 1789 Foundation to gift a seat in the oldest lecture theatre in Old College.
