Annual legal walk raises money for legal advice sector

The annual Edinburgh Legal Walk, which took place on 1 October 2025, was a great success with 79 walkers (and 1 dog) helping to raise over £1,200 so far.
Participants had the chance to hear welcome speeches by Lady Tait and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Advocates. Five Senators of the College of Justice and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Advocates also took part in the walk, which covered just under 8km.
After completing the walk, participants were invited to the Reading Room in the Advocates Library for a reception, canapés and a chance to chat and network.
The Access to Justice Foundation has been organising Legal Walks throughout the UK for over a decade. This year’s national sponsors of the walks are the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates, with the Edinburgh event sponsor being sponsored by Addleshaw Goddard.
