Edinburgh Private Law Discussion Group: "Sham transactions and simulation: are they distinctive legal doctrines?" by León Carmona-Fontaine

The PLDG is delighted to welcome León Carmona-Fontaine, doctoral researcher at Edinburgh Law School. The presentation will explore the structure and functions of the English doctrine of sham transactions and the civilian doctrine of simulation, looking into what, if anything, makes them distinctive legal doctrines. In doing so, it will focus on the forms these doctrines take in England, Italy, France and Chile in the context of property transfers.
