The Edinburgh Private Law Discussion Group and The Mason Institute are delighted to welcome Dr Jonathan Brown (University of Stirling) to present his recent article 'Medical Intervention and Incapax Patients: The Place of Negotiorum Gestio within Law’s “Fundamental Structural Language”'. Responses will be given by Adrian Ward MBE and Ruby Reed-Berendt, followed by an open discussion among attendees. 

Attendees are invited to read the article in advance of the event. Additionally, a previous blog post authored by Dr Brown is available and a copy of the Law Society of Scotland's Paper "Advance choices, and medical decision-making in intensive care situations" is available on request by emailing the EPLDG at ecpldg@gmail.com.

This event will be a hybrid event. Tickets are only required for in-person attendees and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis as places may be limited. Tickets can be booked via the Eventbrite link below.
