#MeToo in Holyrood: The Constitutional dimensions of the recent sexual harassment-related investigations of the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government

The recent investigations into allegations of sexual harassment by current or former Ministers of the Scottish government and the investigations into how those investigations were conducted, as well as having a considerable political impact, raise a number of constitutional questions too regarding the relationship between the different branches of government in Scotland and the norms that govern those relationships.  In this specially-convened seminar co-hosted by the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law and the Law School of the University of Strathclyde, a variety of these constitutional themes will be explored with leading constitutional experts in Scotland.

Speakers include:

  • Lynda Towers (Morton Fraser)
  • Kay Springham (Compass Chambers)
  • Neil Walker (University of Edinburgh)
  • Meryl Kenny (University of Edinburgh)
  • Eamon Keane (University of Edinburgh)
  • Andrew Tickell (Glasgow Caledonian)

The event will be chaired by Cormac Mac Amhlaigh (Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law) and Chris McCorkindale (University of Strathclyde).
