The Advisory Opinion was handed down last month and will be discussed in detail by Dr. Laura Jeffery, who will help us understand the potential implications of the Advisory Opinion for the displaced, dispersed and extended Chagossian community.

This event will include an opening talk by the speaker, followed by a discussion led by Professor Nehal Bhuta and Dr. Michelle Burgis-Kasthala from the University of Edinburgh’s Law School, on the legal implications of the Advisory Opinion.
