Edinburgh Law School is pleased to host Ben McCann (alumnus from the Edinburgh LLM in International Law 2022) who is now a Senior Investigator with the Centre for Information Resilience (info-res.org) and Investigations Practice Lead with Lefios Pathways (lefios-pathways.com).
Ben will lead a closed workshop for registered students introducing the work of organisations at the forefront of contemporary atrocity and human rights investigations, dedicated to collecting and verifying digital and open-source evidence and supporting a range of actors in pursuit of accountability. The workshop will have a particular focus on how these investigative strategies have informed approaches to investigations in the context of Ukraine and Ethiopia. The workshop is ideally suited to students in the fields of criminology, human rights, international law and international politics who may be interested in pursuing a career in this new and exciting field.
The event is in person only and spaces are limited.
