EPLDG - Bringing Tax Administrability to the Centre Stage - Amy Lawton
Tue 27 July 2021
Edinburgh Private Law Discussion Group presents
Bringing Tax Administrability to the Centre Stage by Dr Amy Lawton
About this event
The PLDG is delighted to welcome Dr Amy Lawton, Lecturer in Tax Law at Edinburgh Law School, for our next event of 2021. Amy will be leading a reading group session centred around a very short paper by a leading academic in the field, Judith Freedman. Her article entitled ‘Tax administration shaping tax reform: does employment status matter for tax?’ (2021) Tax Journal is available on the Tax Journal Website. Judith focuses very much on employment status but the session will discuss how the current tax system creates administrative burdens for most individuals.
Given the current Covid-19 guidelines, this event will be held online. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. The link to the event will be sent to those registered in advance of the meeting.
*Please note this is a Reading Group Session. Participants will be expected to have read in advance the very short article by Judith Freedman, ‘Tax administration shaping tax reform: does employment status matter for tax?’ (2021) Tax Journal, available on the Tax Journal Website
