Book Event: Cambridge Constitutional History of the United Kingdom

book cover

Location:

Playfair Library

Date/time

Thu 12 October 2023
17:00 - 19:00

This event commemorates the publication of the ground-breaking Cambridge Constitutional History of the United Kingdom. This is the first wide-ranging history of the British constitution to be published for more than 50 years. It shows the centrality of constitutional history to studying power, the state and society. By its cross-disciplinary approach, taking account of the latest historical, legal and political scholarship on the constitution, it fills a large gap in constitutional studies, political thought and British history.

Professor Colin Kidd OBE, University of St Andrews, will provide his reflections on the new history with a response from the volume’s Co-Editor, Dr Harshan Kumarasingham.  The Event will be chaired by Dr Elisenda Casanas Adam.

A reception will follow.
