The Scottish Human Rights Commission and the Global Justice Academy at the University of Edinburgh would like to invite you to an in-depth, academic discussion on the proposed new Human Rights Bill for Scotland. This academic discussion, chaired by Luis Felipe Yanes and Kasey McCall-Smith, will explore varying elements currently proposed by the Scottish Government in their consultation paper (available here). The discussion will seek your views on how to ensure the Bill is as strong as possible, within the limits of the Scottish Parliament’s competence. The discussion will be minuted using Chatham House Rules.
This is an in-person event and refreshments will be provided.
