Research Student Groups

Postgraduate researchers (PGR) are hugely valued members and active participants in the Edinburgh Law School research community. They are formally represented within the School by the Postgraduate Research Student Board (PGRSB), which exists to further the interests of the PGR community. Our PGRs have also developed a number of reading and discussion groups to support each other’s research through focused work-in-progress sessions.

Edinburgh Legal Theory Research Group

The Edinburgh Legal Theory Research Group (ELTRG) organises a variety of events throughout the year, including a seminar series, work-in-progress sessions, a reading group, and a series of Spring workshops.

The Edinburgh Postgraduate Law Conference (EPLC) is an annual conference organised by PhD students at Edinburgh Law School, which aims to showcase new and innovative research by postgraduate students from throughout the UK and beyond in the fields of law and criminology.
