The Edinburgh Center for Legal Theory offers a range of opportunities for students and visitors to engage with the Edinburgh legal theory community.

Edinburgh Law School is a thriving and world-class academic research community, which is enhanced by regular intellectual exchanges with colleagues from across the UK and internationally. The Edinburgh Centre for Legal Theory welcomes scholars who work in the field and want to spend time within the Centre. Visiting scholars are invited to participate in the events organized by the legal theory group and expected to present their work in one of our work-in-progress sessions. Visiting academics should apply through the visiting program at Edinburgh Law School, but they are encouraged to contact the Center to discuss availability and potential sources of funding.

A limited number of positions are open to graduate students with an interest in legal theory, from across the Law School and other Departments at Edinburgh University. These positions provide an excellent opportunity for postgraduate taught and research students to become fully integrated in the Edinburgh legal theory community. Graduate fellows are expected to participate in the events organized by the Center and the legal theory research group as well as contribute more widely to the academic life of the Center. They are also encouraged to discuss their research in the work-in-progress series, and will have access to funding to organize a flagship event at the Legal Theory Festival.

Our current graduate fellows are: Tsampika Tarralli (Edinburgh Law School) and Maria Bessomi (Edinburgh Law School).
