Julia Dawson is Director of Professional Services at Edinburgh Law School. The Director of Professional Services is responsible for the overall organisation, planning and management of professional services including financial strategy, project and estate management and supporting the delivery of the School’s objectives in learning and teaching, research and external engagement.
Prior to joining Edinburgh Law School in January 2017 Julia was Acting Director and Assistant Director in the Office for International Affairs at University College London (UCL). Her role was to support the aims and implementation of UCL’s Global Engagement Strategy with particular responsibility for international education projects in the Americas and Central Asia including supporting the development of a new University in Kazakhstan. Prior to joining UCL she was responsible for Quality Assurance, Enhancement and Accreditation at the London Business School before which she began her career in higher education administration at the University of Exeter.
Julia holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick and an MA (Distinction) in the History of Warfare from King’s College London.
