Dr Maria Laura Marceddu
Dr Maria Laura Marceddu joined the Law School of the University of Edinburgh as a Teaching Fellow in International Economic Law in August 2019.
Maria Laura comes with an interdisciplinary background that combines International Relations (MA) and Legal expertise (PhD). She holds degrees from LUISS University (BA in Political Sciences, MA in International Relations) and King’s College London (PhD in Law Research).
Prior to join Edinburgh, Maria Laura had been visiting fellow at the department of International Law and Dispute Resolution of the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law. She was visiting Lecturer in International Investment Law at King's College London; and in International Organizations and Human Rights at LUISS University.
Maria Laura serves as a treasurer of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL), where she is also coordinator of the investment law network; and she regularly collaborates as a research fellow on various projects with the Italian Association for Arbitration (AIA). She is member of the executive committee of the international economic law group of the Italian Society of International and European Law (SIDI).
